Frank Okiye, the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly has been impeached.
The impeached Speaker represents Esan North-East II.
Following his impeachment, the house immediately elected Hon. Marcus Onabun, representing Esan West constituency as the new speaker.
The motion to impeach Hon. Okiye was moved by House Majority Leader, Henry Okhurobo.
Nine of the 10 Assembly members at the Plenary signed his impeachment.
