Mailafia Heads To Court Over DSS Invitation

Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Obadiah Mailafia has shunned the invitation of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Recall that he was invited by the DSS following a statement made during an interview on a radio programme where he alleged that a governor of one of the northern states was sponsoring Boko Haram.
Preempting his arrest by the DSS,Dr. Mailafia approached a High Court of Justice in Plateau State for the enforcement of his fundamental rights to personal liberty and fair hearing after being invited by the police.
At a press conference organised by Dr. Mailafia on Monday August 24, he described the invitation as an intimidation, harassment, persecution and a witch hunt. He disclosed that he will be filing a lawsuit to challenge the invitation.
