Simi Courts Controversy With Feminism Talk

Afrobeat singer, Simi, is not new to preaching feminism.
After a while on the sidelines of music, the Studio Brat artiste has returned, but not with a new single.
This time, she returns to propagate the ideology of feminism on social media, Twitter.
Simi courted controversy when she tweeted: “Feminism makes many men feel so vulnerable because you find that society that gave you your “superiority card” is starting to know and want better for women – and you don’t know what to do. Lol Gag is, if you support us, life is better for everyone. Don’t be afraid.”
Adding: “I have a lot of female friends that shy away from feminism because they’re hung up on “some feminists are bitter”. Which one is your own? Do your part. Feminism doesn’t alter anyone’s personality. But the core of the movement is the same. Don’t let anyone decide your path for you.”
Following her tweet, followers whose ideas differed took her on with the singer taking time to defend her position.
