Singer, Davido, has congratulated the Nigerian musicians nominated in the 62nd Grammy Awards holding tomorrow at the Staple Center, America.
The Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) boss took to social media to congratulate the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Bankuli among others nominated via their contribution in Beyounce’s Lion King album.
In his tweet, Davido wrote: Congrats in advance fams. Big weekend for you, its already yours in Jesus name.
Burna Boy is the only Nigerian artistes directly nominated in the award. Others are nominated via their contribution on another artiste’s work.
The African Giant is nominated in the Best World Music category. If he wins the award, he would have broken a jinx that has affected the Nigerian music industry for several years with Femi Kuti and his brother already nominated for the award, but have failed to pick it.
