Omoyele Sowore: Court Orders Immediate Release Of Sahara Reporters Publisher

A Federal High Court has ordered the immediate release of Omoyele Sowore by the Department of State Service (DSS).

Sowore was the Presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), in the last election, and the convener of the #RevolutionNow movement.

Justice Taiwo Taiwo ordered that Sowore should be released from the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS) immediately.

He also stated that the publisher of the news website Sahara Reporters be handed over to his lawyer, Femi Falana, who is to produce him for arraignment whenever he is required.

Justice Taiwo also ruled that Sowore should deposit his passport and other travel documents to guarantee his availability for trial.

Sowore was arrested by the DSS and has since been in their since August 2.

He is facing charges bordering on treason and money laundering.
