Nigerian Artistes Jump On ‘Brown Skin Girl’
The song ‘Brown Skin Girl’ off Beyonce’s Lion King album continues to soar, breaking records and topping charts.
Currently on Billboard Hot 100 Songs and Billboard 200 Chart, the hit which features Wizkid, Saint Jhn, and Blue Ivy Carter has also been largely accepted by Nigerian artistes.
Targeted at appreciating beautiful black women, ‘Brown Skin Girl’ has enjoyed several covers in Nigeria since its release.
Johnny Drille
Artistes such as Studio Brat’s artiste Simi, Mavin Record’s Korede Bello and Mavin Records Johnny Drille have all jumped on the cover with more to come.
Simi’s version of the song comes with her typical jocular style of singing, while that of Korede Bello and Johnny Drille comes typical, a love-themed joint.
