Why We Didn’t Give Simi A New Contract-X3M

Singer, Simisola Ogunleye popular as Simi has parted ways with X3M Music.
The singer parted ways with the label following the expiration of her recording contract.
In a statement signed by A&R executive Vincent Nwanze, the label said the decision not to extend the contract any further was based on the duo involved.
Simi joined X3M in 2014, going on to release singles such as ‘Tiff’ before dropping her sophomore album titled ‘Simisola’ on the label.
She followed up the album with the release of her third album titled ‘Omo Charlie Champagne’ on Friday, April 19.
X3M Music’s management said: ‘We only sign artistes that we love and believe in. We know our taste in music is rather different, but we only sign talents who meet that taste. Fortunately, we have been able to find millions of music lovers here and abroad, who share similar tastes, as is evident in the success of all the artistes we have worked with, including Simi who is without any doubt one of the biggest music talents in the country today…’
X3M is a part of the X3M group, founded in 2008 by Steve Babaeko, an advertising executive who is also known for his love for music.
