***Reaffirms Grassroots Strength Ahead of Gubernatorial Election
The Abejide Political Dynasty (APD) on friday 20th march, 2026 histed members of the BAO Anchor Group in a grand and colorful reception at the APC Secretariat in Ikole Local Government, in what observers described as a strong demonstration of grassroots political dominance and unity.
The atmosphere at the venue was electrifying, as party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters from all 12 wards of the local government trooped out in large numbers.
The impressive turnout reflected the widespread acceptance, structure, and vibrancy of the Abejide Political Dynasty across Ikole Local Government.
The visiting BAO Anchor Group delegation, led by its Secretary, Otunba Dolamu, expressed deep admiration for the organization, discipline, and mobilization strength exhibited by the APD. He noted that the massive attendance and seamless coordination of members clearly signaled a well-established political structure with deep-rooted grassroots influence.

According to him, the visit provided an opportunity to further strengthen alliances, exchange strategic insights, and consolidate efforts toward shared political goals, particularly the re-election of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ajoni LCDA, Ambassador Prince Michael Ogungbemi, FCPA, alongside the Vice Chairman of Ikole Local Government, Hon. Bukola Adeleye, and other key stakeholders including Hon. Segun Adelugba and Hon. Kayode Ogunsakin, commended the Abejide Political Dynasty for its cohesion, discipline, and effectiveness.
Amb. Ogungbemi described the Grand Patron of the group, Hon. Samuel Alaba Abejide, as a formidable political force whose influence remains pivotal not only in Ikole Local Government but across Ekiti State. He emphasized that APD stands as the most formidable grassroots political movement in the area, playing a critical role in mobilizing support for the re-election of Governor Oyebanji in the forthcoming June 20 gubernatorial election.
He further stressed that with its expansive structure spanning 189 polling units, 12 wards, and 25 communities, the APD is well-positioned to deliver unprecedented electoral victory for the Governor within Ikole Local Government.
In his remarks, the Grand Patron and leader of the Abejide Political Dynasty, Hon. Samuel Alaba Abejide, who also serves as Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, highlighted the strength and resilience of the group. He attributed its success to the dedication, loyalty, and capacity of its members across all levels of the political structure.
Hon. Abejide charged members to remain committed, united, and relentless in their mobilization efforts to ensure a resounding victory for Governor Oyebanji at the polls.
In his closing remarks, Otunba Dolamu commended the leadership and entire membership of the APD for their outstanding performance and reaffirmed the readiness of the BAO Anchor Group to work collaboratively with the political dynasty toward achieving a decisive and historic victory in the upcoming governorship election.
