One of the biggest talking points in the music industry is the supposed divorce petition filed by Fuji crooner, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold.
Fans of the singing couple were surprised to see what appeared to be a divorce petition with number HCL/FC/2024/0178 filed by Adekunle Gold, asking the High Court of Lagos State to dissolve his marriage to Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, the popularsongstress and mother of his children.
In the petition, Adekunle Gold cited the continuous control of all aspects of his life, lack of respect for his authority as a man, suppression, and domination by his wife, among others, as the reasons for the request for the dissolution of the marriage.

Adekunle Gold, who said that he is emotionally drained, also asked in the document, which was filed on 28, February 2025, for an equitable division of assets acquired during the marriage, adding that he is open to joint custody subject to agreement.
Since the petition surfaced, there have been mixed reactions about it, with many asking if it is real or not, especially as certain portions appeared to have been written with a pen.
