Thespian, Rosy Meurer, has refuted allegations of husband snatching levelled against her.
For a while, the narrative that Meurer snatched her husband, Olakunle Churchill, from actress Tonto Dikeh has been making the rounds.
There were also rumours that Meurer snatched Churchill from Dikeh, who was allegedly her “best friend”, after she had been introduced to him by the actress.
Taking to Instagram, Meurer refuted claims that she snatched her colleague’s ex-husband.
According to her, contrary to the rumours, nothing of such happened, as she does not have any form of relationship with Dikeh and met Churchill separately.
Setting the record straight, Meurer said she had never met or seen Dikeh before, and that they do not have each other’s phone numbers. She dared anyone with proof to bring it forward.
She said:
“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk of best friend. I have never met her, I have never seen her. She doesn’t have my number; I don’t have her number. She’s like eight, nine, or ten years older than I am.
“When I see comments like ‘she’s your best friend, she introduced you to her husband and you snatched him, you are so wicked’, nothing like that happened. I met my husband separately, from that other life he had. The two don’t even go hand in hand,” she said.
This comes barely weeks after Dikeh and Churchill resolved their long-standing face-off, which had seen the actress deny her former husband access to their son, King Andre.
Speaking on the reconciliation with her son’s father following years of public conflict and separation, Dikeh who had earlier explained that the reconciliation was in their son’s best interest described the resolution as a divine restoration.
“This is grace speaking, and hearts for Jesus obeying. Time failed. Grace prevailed. Time could not cancel what God ordained. Restoration has a voice, and today it spoke. To my spiritual father, Jerry Eze, you will never see a better yesterday.
“Thank you for your unwavering submission to God’s call. Through you, God transformed who I once was into the woman I am becoming strong, grounded, and full of His grace. May God continually reward you beyond words. What God can’t do doesn’t exist,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
The meeting between father and son was the first in 10 years.
