Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken up on his marital challenges with his youngest wife, Regina Daniels.
Daniels had earlier accused Nwoko of of domestic abuse and violence, sparking speculations of marital challenges.

In a video capturing the moment the actress ditched her husband’s Abuja home for an unknown destination, the mother of two noted thus: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my house, I am a queen. I can no longer stand the violence; it is too much,” confirming she was having marital challenges with her husband.

Nwoko who had initially maintained sealed lips over the allegation of domestic violence has now spoken up, blaming drug abuse and alcohol for his wife’s problems.

Denying the allegation of domestic abuse, Nwoko who did not deny he and his wife were having marital challenges stated that the recent incident with his wife was as a result of her “unprovoked carnage and rampage.”

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the lawmaker addressed the viral video in which Daniels accused him of violence and claimed to have suffered abuse in their marriage.
He said: “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff in the past 48 hours and destroying properties, including cars and windows, for no just cause.
‘She Must Accept Rehab,” Nwoko said in his statement.
Nwoko further explained that he had given Daniels the option of continuing her rehabilitation program either in Asokoro, Abuja, or abroad, citing Jordan as a preferred location where, according to him, “she would not have access to drugs.”
“A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse (for exposing her drug abuse). While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier,” he said, further alleging that another person identified as “Ann” is also involved in supplying substances to the actress.
It would be recalled that the couple’s marriage came under public scrutiny earlier this week after the actress was seen in a viral video crying and accusing Nwoko of violence.
Her brother and filmmaker Stanley Ontop also confirmed that the couple were having marital challenges when he alleged that thugs linked to the senator attacked the actress.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Daniels and her husband would have marital challenges.
In February 2025, the actress deleted her husband’s surname, “Nwoko,” from her Instagram bio, sparking widespread rumors about trouble in their marriage. Her brother had also made cryptic posts at the time, which many interpreted as directed at the lawmaker.
