WHY LAGOS GOVERNOR, AKINWUNMI AMBODE PICKED ALAUSA OVER MARINA GOVT HOUSE
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has picked Government House, Alausa, Ikeja as his official residence ahead of the official residence of the state governor in Marina.
His predecessor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola had lived at Government House, Marina but Ambode cited his resolve to discharge his duties more effectively as his reason for shunning the State House in Marina opting to stay in a close vicinity of his office.
The new governor made his decision to live at Alausa public at his inaugural meeting with the Body of Permanent Secretaries in the State Public Service on Sunday where he said he would usually resume at work by 8.00am.
He said he took this decision so that he can attend to state functions promptly.
