Port Harcourt’s first son and Odeshi Singer, Timaya, has announced he is happy again.

Timaya Is A Lair-Omawunmi
He announced this today, Friday, August 15, his birthday, with a message of gratitude and reflection.
In a post shared on Instagram, the music star thanked God for his life, saying he has “walked through hell” but came out smiling.
“Happy Birthday to me, here’s to a brand new chapter,” he wrote.
This year, 2025, the “Odeshi” singer has been trailed by controversy. Recently, an old story involving Timaya, Waje, Omawunmi and Burna Boy resurfaced.
A position by Timaya that Burna Boy once chased both Waje and Omawunmi out of the studio because the former didn’t believe the Grammy Award winner’s position that he would be great someday was refuted by Omawunmi.
According to Omawunmi, the incident never took place.
Timaya also attracted controversy for his comments about men chasing women, and another in regards to his remarks on farmland destruction in Bayelsa.
Timaya also discussed the changing music landscape and the high cost of music production.
Though it is unclear why he said he is now happy again, speculations have continued to trail the singer over his insinuation.
