Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has asked fans not to give him free gifts.
Don Jazzy, who currently has several A-list artists such as Rema, Boy Spyce, and Ayra Starr on his label, dropped the message in a video he shared on Instagram.
In the video, the music executive cautioned people who offer him freebies only to expect major favors in return, stating that there are dangers to accepting free gifts.
Sighting an example, Don Jazzy, who spoke in pidgin English, said, “You are selling Nkwobi, you come and give me free Nkwobi. I don’t want free Nkwobi. But you now give me free Nkwobi, I’ve chop it finish. Then later you’re asking me to give you Rema. How you want to use Nkwobi to collect Rema?”
Don Jazzy ended the video by asking fans not to give him gifts again: “Don’t give me. I don’t want. Thank you. Bye bye.”
