Award-winning Nigerian singer, “2Baba“, has spoken out on being perceived as a womaniser.
The musician, whose real name is Innocent Idibia, dismissed the very popular public perception, saying he simply loves deeply.
The “Amaka” singer made the clarification during a recent interview with Voice of Nigeria (VON), during which he spoke about fame, fatherhood, and public scrutiny.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womaniser. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard,” he said.

Reflecting on fatherhood, 2Baba noted that it is both a blessing and a source of personal regret.
“I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively.

“It does something to me sometimes,” he said.
2Baba added that his children are a source of pride.
“They’re amazing, brilliant people. I just wish I was there more. It touches me from all corners,” he added.
On the criticisms that have trailed his wife, Natasha, over her overbearing control and influence in his decisions, 2Baba said:
“Everybody has a say in everybody’s business now. Sometimes people say very nasty things.
“You grow thick skin, but sometimes it gets to you. Reality is reality. She’s a brilliant woman, a strong woman,” he said.
2Baba further revealed that he is naturally shy, contrary to public perception.
“My profession doesn’t permit me to be shy, but I’m actually a very shy person.
“Sometimes I just want to be alone and chill. Other times, I want to hang out. I like nature; I have my moments,” he said.
According to him, balancing fame, family, and public expectations remains one of the biggest challenges of his career.
It is on record that 2Baba has fathered eight children with four different women namely Annie Macaulay, Pero Adeniyi, Sumbo Adeoye and Natasha Idibia
Annie Idibia has two children with the singer, while Pero Adeniyi has three children with him. Also, Sumbo Adeoye had two children with the music icon, while his new wife, Natasha reportedly welcomed a child with him
2Baba’s children include Isabella, Olivia, Rose, Zion, Justin, Nino, and Innocent.
