2023 Presidency: PDP Mulls Merger To Unseat APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has started planning to unseat the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023.
Explaining the strategies that the party is likely to adapt, Uche Secondus, the party’s national chairman said it is ready for a merger.
According to him, this is to strengthen the party in order to defeat the APC, adding that no member will be barred from contesting the presidential ticket even if the person does not come from any zone the party eventually chooses.
Secondus said that 2023 may be considered far away by many people, but not Nigerian politicians.
He, however, ruled out the possibility of changing its official name, accusing the current APC-led administration of failing Nigerians.
Secondus also blamed the APC for the current insecurity, corruption, hunger, poor economy and poverty in the country.
