The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 presidential election.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, chairman of the forum, made the announcement during the party’s summit held on Thursday, May 22, in Abuja.
Uzodimma, speaking on behalf of the APC governors, said the decision was driven by a shared conviction that Tinubu’s leadership is pivotal to Nigeria’s progress.
“For Nigeria to get to her destination faster in prosperity, the president should be used and adopted as our flag bearer for the 2027 presidential election, for a second term in office,” Uzodimma said.
