The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Seun Ogunbambo wanted.
Ogunbambo, the Managing Director of Fargo Petroleum and Gas Limited, was declared wanted for allegedly defrauding the Nigerian government of over ₦976 million in an oil subsidy scam.
A statement issued by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, noted that Ogunbambo was standing trial at the Lagos State High Court but went into hiding after being granted bail.
While Ogunbambo remains at large, his co-defendants, Mamman Nasir Ali and Christian Taylor, were convicted and sentenced to 14 years in prison each on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

According to the EFCC, Ogunbambo is light-complexioned and fluent in English and Yoruba. His last known address is 2 Olamiyuyan Crescent, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The commission urged anyone with useful information on his whereabouts to contact any of its offices nationwide, including Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Gombe, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Benin, Kaduna, Sokoto, Makurdi, Ilorin, Maiduguri, Uyo, or Abuja.
