Many would recollect that dance hall artiste, Burna Boy became a star in Nigeria after absconding from the law in London years back.
Today, the singer has been declared wanted by the Nigerian Police for his involvement in the robbery and attack of Mr. 2Kay after his performance at a concert in Eko Hotel and Suites.
According to investigations by the Police, Burna Boy through his manager Joel Kantiock paid four robbers to attack the artist because he wanted to teach him a lesson.
Since the arrest and interrogation of the robbers, fans of the artist and music critics are now asking and wondering if Burna Boy would submit himself to the police and face the music or if he will abscond to London where he is known to have relations.
Whatever the singer decides to do, one fact which remains constant is that he is not new to running from the law.
Meanwhile, while speaking after a Press Conference today, Monday, November 20th, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Edgal Imohimi was quoted as thus:
“Four armed robbers carried out the attack and detectives were able to arrest one of their girlfriends who is identified as ‘Matejero’ which led to the capture of the others. During interrogation, the robbers confessed that they were hired by Burna Boy through his manager, Joel Kantiock who was arrested in Zaria, Kaduna State.
“They confessed to receiving a part payment of 50,000 Naira before the job and another 50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by Burna Boy when the job was done. At the moment, efforts to apprehend Burna Boy is proving futile but we count on him to make himself available for questioning immediately”
Burna Boy’s publicist, Bukky HQ is said to have confirmed the warrant, stating that Burna Boy had not been arrested but invited over for questioning;
“Yes he has been invited, but very nicely, there was a letter to that effect, no questioning, no arrested”,
A conversation supposedly linking Burna Boy to the attack has been revealed. The conversation supposedly between Burna Boy and Mr2Kay indicates where Burna Boy had threatened Mr2Kay 10 days before the attack at Eko Hotel and Suites.
