Femi Kuti might have lost the Grammys four times, but the artistes is unperturbed.
As far as his is concerned, he is the only Nigerian to have been nominated for the awards four times, an insurmountable achievement.
Speaking in an exclusive chat with www.theoctopusnews.com, Kuti tipped French group Gipsy Kings to emerge winner of his category.
According to him, “the Gipsy Kings is the most deserving group in the “World Music” category.”
Femi, was nominated in the ‘World Music’ category for his album ‘No Place For My Dream’ but lost out to French group Gipsy Kings and South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo in a tie.
The winner for the category and some others were announced at a pre-telecast on January. 26th.
The Afrobeat king had earlier lost out at the Grammys in 2003, 2010 and 2011. Femi didn’t attend the awards.
