The highly anticipated reality show, ‘The People’s Hero’, will hit the airwaves today.
With a N7 million prize money and the bragging rights of who emerges ‘The People’s Hero’ up for grabs, the next few weeks will be entertaining.
The 20 finalists who made the hero’s league from auditions held in Enugu and Owerri will now try to convince the judges and the world that they have what it takes to emerge ‘The People’s Hero’.
Explaining the selection process that saw the emergence of the hero’s league, rapper, Illbliss who sits as a judge on the show assured Nigerians of thrilling moments, adding that the process that saw the emergence of the finalist was extremely meticulous.
“We selected the best 20 contestants out of about 2,000 hopefuls. The process could not have been easy considering the energy and talents displayed during the auditions. As judges, we are aware of the qualities of ‘The People’s Hero’ and were as such guided in selecting these final contestants.”
Sponsored by Hero Lager Beer, an International Breweries product, the show is aimed at bringing out the best in young people who never had a platform such as ‘The People’s Hero’.
The show will air on MTV base by 9.00 pm with a repeat broadcast every Wednesday at the same time.
It will also air on terrestrial channels such as STV by 6 pm on Wednesdays, NTA Onitsha by 6 pm on Sundays, NTA Enugu by 6 pm every Sundays, Orient TV Owerri by 6 pm every Sundays, and AIT Port Harcourt by 9 pm every Tuesdays.
