Folorunsho Alakija might be the richest woman in Africa, however this doesn’t mean much to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Admired for many things including his bluntness; Obasanjo has fought and won several wars.
Till date, his words of several years back are still revered, and this perhaps informed what made many listen attentively when he recently spoke at a business event held recently.
Obasanjo at the event ensured that he was able to bring to an end a wicked speculations that had being brought to fore about his administration by Alakija.
Alakija had had claimed that the Obasanjo administration frustrated her moves to explore the oil sector after getting her oil license from the late military dictator, Sani Abacha.
Obasanjo however put the claim to rest when he responded to Alakija’s allegation telling her he made her and several other Nigerian billionaires present.
It was a sight to behold and indeed embarrassing, as the retired General practically reduced the businesswoman and philanthropist to size.
