For not just many, but the larger percentage of the political class, Senator Olorunmimbe Mamora is a brilliant politician and a perfect gentleman.
Like they say, politics is a dirty game. However, for men like the amiable Senator, who have played the game at almost all levels it is something else.
It is something altogether different. Hence, Senator Mamora was able to carry on his political career from grassroot to the Lagos State House of Assembly and then the next level, the Senate.
Like a real politician, Mamora kept his fire burning even when he was not an active member of the ruling party.
Nothing makes a man more of a prodigal son, as removing him from an exalted post, however for Mamora when he was asked to stepped down for Senator Gnebga Ashafa, he did like the loyal politician he is.
Years and years after bowing down for Ashafa, he continued to attend party events, shaking the hands of those that mattered and today his is back on the saddle, as an ambassadorial nominee.
Knowing the intelligence level of Mamora and the fact that he spent some years in the Senate and has garnered a lot of experience, it is only natural that when he gets to the Senate for screening, the Senator Bukola Saraki-led Senate rub his back and nudge him on like they did Senator Chris Ngige during his ministerial screening.
Indeed, a gentleman has bounced back.
