The doubt and disbelief which have been trailing promotions of telecommunication company Globacom for a while is back again.

This time, it is as a result of the Centenary Lottery being organized by Secure Electronic Technology Plc and powered by Globacom.

Although Globacom is promising to give away fantastic prizes including 24 Hyundai Jeeps and one hundred million naira grand prize in the lottery, there are doubt that the freebies will actually come to those who eventually emerge winners.

This reaction is coming due to past campaigns in which Glo has been faulted for not delivering on its promises.

You may recall that sometimes back, Globacom had been accused of not fulfilling its promise of taking winners of one of their several promotions to Dubai.

Then, Adediran Folashade in Osun state, Adebola Olasimbo in Yaba Lagos, Taiwo Ariyo Nurudeen in Osun state had cried fraud when they were not taken abroad despite winning the promo in 2001. The case of Lasisi Alliu Olasunkanmi, a bricklayer in his late 20s based in Ayobo-Ipaja, a Lagos suburb was even more pathetic, as he complain that after been declared a winner of the promo by one Mr. Bankole in the Glo Marketing Communication Department in a phone conversation he was amazed that after all necessary accreditation he never left the shores of Nigeria.

Presently, the biggest question Nigerians are asking from the organisers of this lottery is how guaranteed are winners that they will be rewarded accordingly.

The promo will run from June 17 to September 2 and winners are expected to win prizes such as ‎N5,000 daily for 100 winners, N10,000 daily for 10 winners, N25,000 daily for 4 winners, one generator daily for one winner and one laptop daily for one winner.‎ In addition, one winner will win Hyundai ix35 Bi-Weekly, while 3 Winners will win an all expenses paid trip to Brazil to watch the semi-finals of the World Cup in Brazil.

The organisers said the grand prize winner of N100 Million will emerge at the end of the promo on 2nd September  2014. ‎
