MAKE MEE ELEGANT TAKES FREE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME TO TWO CITIES IN SOUTH AFRICA

The proprietress cum CEO of Make Mee Elegant, Mrs. Kehinde Okoroafor revealed this to newsmen during a press briefing recently. Following the level and rate at which unemployment is affecting Nigerians living in South Africa and part of the world. Make Mee Elegant has taking it upon itself to empower as much as possible in her little way.

Make Mee Elegant has been in existence since 2010 and has empowered more than 12,000 people for free. Make Mee Elegant has work with government and private organization in Nigeria, Ogun State, Ibadan, Ekiti, Port Harcourt, Lagos to mention a few. The company has also been represented in more than five exhibition programmes abroad. Make Mee Elegant was represented in Dublin last year by Mrs. Kehinde Okoroafor (CEO) during the Entrepreneur programme which holds annually. Make Mee Elegant is a registered company in United Kingdom and Nigeria respectively.

Meanwhile, Make Mee Elegant is currently giving free training to inmates at the National Agency For The Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP) Lagos Shelter home.

However, Make Mee Elegant is a company, manufacturing bags, shoes, accessories etc with local fabric (Ankara and Adire (tie & dye).

Speaking with the media, Mrs. Kehinde Okoroafor reveals “Taking our free empowerment programme to South Africa is following the recent crisis, ‘Xenophobic’. We intend to capture and empower South African youths as well as Nigerians in South Africa. Self employment is the best. They will be able to work for themselves and make money. We can’t leave everything to government. We are the government.” She said.

The empowerment will take place in Pretoria and Johannesburg respectively.
