Revered as a political master strategist, former Lagos state governor and chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has never had a reputation downslide as he has experienced in recent months.
The Midas touch which is associated with Tinubu was demystified with the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki maintaining his stance against his party’s interest in the selection of principal officers of the Senate.
The ultimate of Tinubu’s demystification was Fashola’s attitude of calling his bluff rather than apologizing in an on-going god father and son relationship.
This was definitely a move many hadn’t seen coming.
The season of demystification seem to have however come to an end for Tinubu, as honours and accolades is what is now pouring in.
Perhaps to reconfirm his political dexterity, Tinubu was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Political Science and Diplomacy by Adeleke University in Osun state.
The probability that the award would however restore his image on the political stage remains to be seen.
