Since assuming office, Imo State Governor, Owele Rochas Okorochas, has established himself as one man who doesn’t celebrate mediocrity, and overtime, this has seen him sending a lot of his commissioners and special advisers packing.

The man took his trademark transparent style of governance to another level on Wednesday, September 25, when he attended a Community Government Councils (CGC) meeting, which had chairmen of the councils in attendance.

At the event which took place at Ahiajoku Convention Centre, Owerri, the governor created an interactive forum where contractors handling road projects and other jobs were brought before representatives of the individual communities to answer questions on what was causing delay in the project they were handling.

While some of them received thumbs up for their hard work, others were booed by the audience, as they sort to know why their communities were not developing fast enough.

At the end of the day, the Head of the CGC in the state, Eze Ohiri, who doubles as Chairman, Imo State Council of Ndi-Eze, showered praises on the governor, commending him for his vision in setting up the council aimed at developing their communities.
