Gospel singer, Essence, recently turned 40 years old.
To mark the special day, the chocolate-complexioned beauty released some new pictures.
However, she is planning a mega party to celebrate the special day.
Slatted for Saturday, July 21, the party is expected to attract some special guests.
Notables in the entertainment industry including Kenny Saint Brown popular as KSB, her brother Kenny Ogungbe and others are expected to grace the event.
Before launching her music career, she was a backup singer for a host of artistes including KSB.
Essence went on to become an act on the Kennis Music label, but left during the mass exodus which saw herself, Jawon and a host of other artistes leaving.
Subsequently, she went on to relaunch her music career which was in hibernation mode until recently when she surfaced to promote a brand new gospel career releasing a new single titled, “Living Water”.
