Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend Fela has revealed that his father’s achievement can’t be met by any musician in 10 years.
According to the singer, anyone who wants to be like Fela has to put in the works.
Speaking about the achievements of Fela, Seun Kuti who is now the leader of his late father’s Egypt 80 Band said “well, Fela had 49 albums.
10 years is too short for anyone to be as Fela or to be as great as Fela. There is no shortcut to being the man. If you want to be Fela, you have to put in the work. You can’t just call yourself the name. It doesn’t work like that,” Seun Kuti said.
Seun Kuti said that he is a musician who changes people’s life with his music and believes that any artiste who has not been told that his music has changed a life should quit music. According to Seun, he has touched many people’s life. According to him, its a first time experience because people have told him how they met at his gig and later got married.
