The bubbles of a deal almost gone sour is set to burst on communication brand MTN, as August Pee Entertainment/ August Pee International, a fast-rising entertainment outfit is set to drag them to court.

According to information available to www.theoctopusnews.com, August Pee Entertainment/August Pee International, is taking MTN to court soonest for allegedly inducing Mike Anyasodo, their artiste and convincing him to sign a deal behind his management, despite the fact that his label had spent millions to revive his career which hitherto had gone comatose.

Speaking with www.theoctopusnews.com, boss of the entertainment company, Humphrey Okeke stated that he does not have issues with Anyasodo and has always sought a peaceful resolution of the issue. However, he only wanted to state clear that he is been bullied and exploited by MTN, a bigger brand.

Investigations by www.theoctopusnews.com, revealed that August Pee Entertainment/August Pee International met Anyasodo after the Project Fame West Africa Season 2 winner did a collaboration with their artiste Splash. There relationship went professional when the boss of the outfit inquired from his artiste why Anyasodo’s career seemed to be lukewarm, and she said it might be due to financial challenges.

Digs by www.theoctopusnews.com revealed that barely two weeks after Anyasodo was signed as an artiste on August Pee Entertainment/August Pee International, he released the wave making single titled “Adaure”, and followed up with the video.

We can confirm that prior to the signing August Pee Entertainment/August Pee International spoke with Anyasodo on phone and signed the musician sometimes late March, in the presence of his friend Nelson Samuel, after which the management company started fulfilled the terms of the deal.

Hence, it was a rude shock to hear that their artiste had signed a brand ambassador contract with MTN, without them knowing.

As if that was not sad enough, the erstwhile musician got wind of the singing his own artiste on his Twitter page, after which he called him and eventually confirm the contract was signed for N6M.

More digs by www.theoctopusnews.com revealed that trouble started when the rumour hit town that MTN was planning to sign the artiste as a brand ambassador.

A source, revealed that the musician had jokingly said if he is paid N15 Million as been speculated he would give his label N5 Million and move on. Another source, revealed to us that a week before the date which the MTN deal was to be signed Anyasodo allegedly came to his management to say that they were not fulfilling the conditions contained in his contract and that he had to go through the document. He collected the original copy of the contract, saying he would return it after studying his benefits, but he simply disappeared into thin air.

Several calls and text aimed at reaching him after the signing had been done so that the issue could be settled proved abortive, as the musician simply did not respond.

We also learnt that sometimes in early July a meeting was allegedly called by Kelvin Orifa, an employee of MTN at Metro Park, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, to discuss the issue. At the venue, Kelvin was said to have listen to both parties said there was going to be another meeting to resolve the issue, but since then nothing had been heard from him, as messages sent by Okeke to Orifa to know when and where the meeting would hold went unanswered.

A source close to the parties involved alleged that Orifa only called for the meeting because he was the one who discovered Anyasodo via Project Fame West Africa and that any stain of an MTN ambassador would disturb the company’s image. We also heard that during the meeting, Anyasodo allegedly told Okeke that he had been signed by MTN and nothing could be done about it. He went further to say that if he is taking to court and asked to pay the money already invested on him, he would pay one thousand every month.

www.theoctopusnews.com learnt that the first lawyer who was contracted by August Pee Entertainment/ August Pee International was allegedly bought over by representatives of MTN, in their effort to prevent justice from taking place.

However, a new lawyer in person of Barrister Destiny Takom has subsequently taking over the case and is set to file in court by next week.

As it is, MTN have received a letter from Barrister Takom, but are yet to respond. Nevertheless, speaking with www.theoctopusnews.com, the lawyer stated that the parties involved would be served summons soon enough.

Presently, MTN and Anyasodo are set to be dragged into a very muddy and murky water that might not only dent the image of the communication company, but consume the music career of the artiste who is currently been tagged “slippery and slimy”.

Efforts to reach Mike Anyasodo and Kelvin Orifa to react to the story proved abortive, as text messages send to both of them were not replied.
