Our source revealed that the Speaker was alleged to have planned the mass killing of the students in the name of special center, adding that Acho Ihim in his desperation to become Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly paid heavily to step the matter down.
The source further disclosed that the fresh resumption of the case followed a petition against the Inspector General of Police and Director General of DSS, mandating them to arrest Acho Ihim over his involvement in the killing of the students, and further charge him to court for prosecution without further delay.
In another development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has began a manhurt on Imo Speaker, Acho Ihim over his involvement in the missing N18 million under his watch as Okigwe local government area, as well as another looted N30 million belonging to the Imo State House of Assembly under his leadership as Speaker.
According to the EFCC, Acho Ihim had impersonated the Head of Department (HOD) of Works of the LGA to steal the money, saying that he allegedly converted the N30 million House money to personal use, while pretending to use the said stolen money for maintenance of IMHA leaking roof.
He maintained that Hon Ihim is currently standing criminal trial at the Okigwe High Court, adding that all efforts made by the Judge handling the case including ordering him to appear before the court to answer allegations against him over the disappearance of N18 million under his watch had been flagrantly ignored by him.
He therefore disclosed that the anti-graft agency has officially written to the Imo Speaker, Hon Ihim to appear before it to answer questions or be ready to be quizzed any moment from now.
