ADEBAYO TO CHAIR OKOROJI’S BIG BOOK LAUNCH

Elder statesman and former Governor of the old Western Region of Nigeria, General Robert Adeyinka Adebayo (Rtd) will be Chairman at the ‘Five Star Launch’ of Chief Tony Okoroji’s much talked about book “ON THE ROAD TO CHANGE”
 
General Adebayo will headline a roll call of Nigeria’s political big wigs and leaders of the nation’s progressive movement at the red carpet event billed for the Iris Hall of the posh Eko Hotel & Suites on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Also expected at the event are the leading lights among Nigeria’s intelligentsia such as Prof Pat Utomi, Prof Egerton Uvieghara, Prof Bankole Sodipo, Prof Duro Oni, etc. The top players in the nation’s entertainment industry are also expected to grace the event.
 
The Network of friends of Chief Tony Okoroji is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the book launch is talked about for many years to come. According to Mr. Patrick Harry Doyle, a key member of the network, “Everyone knows that Tony Okoroji is the grandmaster of the big scintillating show and that he leaves nothing unplanned for. He is the man who introduced the big showbiz award events to Nigeria, attracting presidents, ambassadors, governors and celebrities from around the world to the famous Nigerian Music Awards which he conceived and produced. While Chief Okoroji is a showbiz master, he is also an intellectual of immense depth which can be seen in the profound quality of his published works. According to Mr. Doyle, ‘The acceptance of the very highly respected General Adeyinka Adebayo to be Chairman of the launch of Chief Okoroji’s “ON THE ROAD TO CHANGE” is strong indication that the book is a work of the highest  authorship and the launch will be a who-is-who in Nigeria event”
 
General Adeyinka Adebayo who enrolled in the Nigerian Army as No. 07, attended the prestigious Imperial Defence College, London in 1965 and was the only African officer in the revered institution.
 
He was Commander, Nigerian Contingent in the Congo and among the officers who served under him is the current President- elect, General Muhammadu Buhari. General Adebayo also served as the first indigenous Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army.
