First Ladies in Nigeria are known to be the supportive ‘structures’ of their husbands, while some even go ahead to create developmental programmes to the benefit of the people. Some, however, are blessed with beauty, and like pageant winners, their beauty and brains combined. This is the first set in our list of such First Ladies.

Mrs. Olufunsho Amosun – Ogun State

A beauty in all ramifications, Olufunsho Amosun, the wife of Ogun State’s Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is an eyepoper.

 

The graduate of English Education from the University of Ife with Masters in Guidance and Counseling from University of Lagos was born on May 2nd, 1966.

 

Described as an assemblage of beauty and brains, her tenacity for raising the bar in her humanitarian endevours speaks volume.

With a genuine passion to assist and support, Olufunsho has empowered several less-privileged in the society.

For her, empowering and uplifting disadvantaged people regardless of their age, education status, religious and political affiliations, has turned a passion.

Alluring hardly describes her look when she celebrated her 50thbirthday last year. She was indeed a sight to behold, an item often described as a total package.

Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed – Kwara State

Humble and simple, Omolewa Ahmed is a conservative individual.

However, this does not hide her beauty in anyway. Without mincing words, Omolewa is a true reflection of the African woman.

With her glowing dark-complexion, she is loved by many due to the fact that she doesn’t hide her passion for God, something that has earned her the title of “Mother of the state”.

Selfless and very caring, her philanthropy via LEAH Foundation, deals with socio- economic and health issues of the generality of Kwara people including women, youth and widows.

A woman of many awards, the long list include Grand Matron Of The Girls Brigade, Kwara State Chapter, National Youth Council Of Nigeria Honorary Award, Chancellor Emeritus Of The UNESCO Club For Global Education, Award Of Excellence In Child And Women Care By The World Brand Congress, Award Of Excellence By The Association Of Government General Medical And Dental Practitioners and others. 

Aside being beautiful outwardly, Omolewa is also beautiful inwardly too.

Mrs. Rashida Bello – Kogi State

To describe Rashida Bello as beautiful would be as a result of a lack of an ideal word. The fair-complexioned woman is much more than that.

Though from a Muslim background, her beauty breaks the barrier of restriction known with those in the Islamic faith.

A lover of comfortable ornaments, the woman warms the heart, mind and eyes of her husband, Bello.

Describing herself as a trend blind girl next door, this humble woman like most of her colleagues runs a pet project tagged: ‘Direct Reach Out Project (DROP)’, an initiative which empowers women, youths and encourage the poor to grow their micro business. Her passion for people with special needs is also second to none evident in her work with DROP.

Mrs. Eberechi Suzette Nyesom-Wike – Rivers State

Eberechi Suzette Nyesom-Wike, is regarded as a power dresser. A woman with style and carriage, she hardly betrays the fact that she has kids.

Dressed in either western or native attire, Eberechi is indeed always merrily dressed.  A Chevening Scholarship awardee, one of the many events where she shone like a million stars was at a state banquet concluding the activities marking the one-year anniversary of her husband in office.

At the event, wearing a gold-coloured shimmering evening dress, the woman was a delight to the eyes. Again, she stunned when she celebrated her 44th birthday on Tuesday, May 24.

With a smile of confidence and her style, Eberechi wins whenever she steps out confirming her tag of a power dresser. Born May 24, 1972, she holds a Masters degree in Law from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. She was appointed a judge of the High Court of Rivers State on February 14, 2012. A lover of classical music, she also enjoys travelling, cooking and reading.

Mrs. Badaru Abubakar – Jigawa State

First Ladies

Mrs. Badaru Abubakar is arguably one of the most beautiful First Ladies in the country.

The fair-complexioned Jigawa State First Lady is indeed elegant. Her husband, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, won the gubernatorial election defeating his closest opponent, Malam Aminu Ringim.

A typical northerner, not much is known about her. However, one fact, which is constant, is that she is a stunning beauty.
