Prince Aku and his estranged wife, Dabota Lawson-Aku when the going was good
Sources close to billionaire businessman and owner of luxury furniture company Novena Majesty Furniture, Prince Sunny Aku, have confirmed the speculation making the rounds in high society that he is not the father of Dabota Lawson’s child.
Prior to now, speculations had surrounded the birth of Lawson’s daughter, as many wondered if she was a product of Prince Aku’s loin.
The duo of Prince Aku and Lawson got married in an elaborate ceremony at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos’ Sky Hall terrace on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
However, just as they were beginning to enjoy the fantasies of the nuptial they had a crisis which saw the ex-beauty queen heading to the court in an attempt to divource Prince Aku.

During the marital crisis which lasted a while, Lawson was quoted as saying that “she was scared for her life, as she could no longer reside in the same apartment with the billionaire.”

The marriage was later salvaged, as Lawson withdrew the case from court and even went on to celebrate her husband’s birthday, something some people tagged a show, while others thought it an attempt at salvaging the union.
With Lawson’s delivery of a baby girl on Saturday, October 8th in America, many had expected that the development would cement the relationship between wife and husband, but as you read this it’s the other way round.
A close associate of Prince Aku confided in www.theoctopusnews.com that when he congratulated him on the arrival of his daughter from Lawson he simply replied saying thus “I am not the father of the child.”
It will be recalled that when the duo of Lawson and Prince Aku made one of their first foray into the social scene at the launch of Sujimoto Construction Company at the WheatBaker Hotel, Lagos, many had wondered what the 25-year-old lady was doing the 60-year-old businessman. While some say the relationship would be short-lived others said age was nothing but a number.
As it is presently, age seems more than a number.

Dabota Lawson was born into a family of 10. She grew up in Nigeria but had her college and university education in the UK with B.A in Financial Economics from the University of Leicester, in the UK and a CIMA Accounting and Business from the London School of Business and Finance.
She started modeling at five and won the Miss Nigeria United Kingdom beauty pageant in 2010. She has lots of experience in high fashion, runway/catwalk, illustrative, modeling competitions and pageants. She was the pioneer cover girl for Society Celebrations Magazine for few years.
In 2010, Dabota, along with three of her friends, launched their PR, marketing and events management company, Diamond Inc.
