The talk of Ladi Adebutu’s gubernatorial ambition was greeted by a very poor reception when it was first unveiled.
In fact, stakeholders whom Adebutu had expected to support him openly showed their lack of confidence in his abilities.
For many, the chubby dark-complexioned man had not achieved anything, but had only been living in the shadow of his father, Adebutu Kessington.
Not even his father’s wealth and connection was able to sway the mind of the people of Ogun State.
Things have, however, not changed, as the 2019 gubernatorial election draws nearer. Presently, the gist making the round is that Adebutu’s chances of emerging the next governor of Ogun State has not improved.
Gist among politicians in Ogun State is that Senator Solomon Adeola who is not considered a popular choice stands a better chance of getting to the office when compared to Adebutu.
