Breaking Ramadan fast with notable faces seems to be the vogue in town presently. Even the President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has been caught in this web, breaking his fast daily on special dinner with different groups of dignitaries and industry players at the Presidential Villa.
Only recently, he broke his fasting with the likes of Femi Otedola, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Folorunsho Alakija, Jim Ovia and Tony Elumelu.
One person who has however been able to rise above this is the National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muiz Banire.
Breaking away from the norm, Banire opted to break his fast with the less privileged specifically with the children from the Babel Salam Orphanage home recently.
Speaking during the event, he advocated for the teaching of religious studies in schools, as it was unfortunate that all Nigerians celebrate today is wealth without asking question about the source.
According to him, the society can effectively reverse the trend through teaching the young ones religious studies that will make them to be conscious of their actions and their creator at all times.
The Babel Salam Orphanage home was established by the late religious, business philanthropist and business tycoon, Chief Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo
