It is definitely no longer news that the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN 2013) is Anna Banner. However, the sacrifice which the lady had to make to win is what is currently news.
This point having been made, another fact which remains constant is that once again the organizers of the event Silverbird have succeeded in unveiling another controversial queen.
It is not rocket science, but the organisers of the pageant have once again smeared their hands with dirt in the road that led to the emergence of Banner, as the 2013 edition’s queen.
One of the biggest question begging for answer is why have the organisers of the competition refused to give concrete reasons why they chased two contestants (Miss Gombe and Miss Ebonyi) out of the competition just days to the finals. Another curious question is did Miss Bayelsa win the competition because it was a case of who pays the piper or a matter of the highest bidder.
All these questions are what followers of this questionable pageant have been asking with some even alleging that the 18 years-old Miss Banner sacrificed her virginity in order to emerge winner of the competition.
You will recall that last year , a controversy of sort broke out when Isabella Ayuk was named winner of the pageant.
