In life, not many get the privilege of a second chance.
Some men die hoping for it, all to no avail. In his days as Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, was loved by some and hated by many.
His crime was that he ran a government that was too elitist and none inclusive.
Following Ayodele Fayose’s assumption of office, as the Governor of the state, Fayemi, became less and less popular.
Fairly put, he was discussed in most circles for the negative things synonymous with his government. At a point, his government could almost not be remembered for anything positive.
Hence, when he once again declared his intention to contest the office of the first citizen of the state, some people swore that they would never support him.
Declared the winner of the Saturday, July 14, gubernatorial election and the new governor of Ekiti state, Fayemi, now has a second chance to right his wrongs.
