Soft-spoken politician, Ibrahim Obanikoro, who is also the son of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, is not giving up on politics.

The lad has refused to move on from politics, a profession tagged dirty despite the sad experience he went through in the last local government chairmanship election, which held on October 22 2011.

Having been declared the chairman of Ikoyi/Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA) by a five-man tribunal headed by Justice Dolapo Akinsanya (rtd), the young Obanikoro was sent packing before he could resume work by the Lagos State Local Government Election Petitions Appeal Tribunal.

Then the Justice Opeyemi Oke-led five-man tribunal, in its judgment unanimously declared the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), candidate, Mr. Adewale Adeniji, as the winner of the election.

As the 2015 chairmanship elections draw nearer by the day, Obanikoro has continued his lobbying of friends, stakeholders and party chieftains, as he gets set to give politics a shot again.  Obanikoro, will again contest on the platform the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
