How IG Mohammed Abubakar, found missing rib

Prior to his second wedding recently, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, was among the category of men who could aptly describe how it feels to miss the warm embrace of a spouse.

Having lost his wife to the cold hands of death a year and seven months ago, Abubakar officially returned into the warm embrace of another woman on Friday, September 13, when his Nikkai held.

The officer’s new bride is 35-year-old Zarah, daughter of administrator and engineer, Bunu Sheriff Musa.

The Nikkai ceremony, which took place at the National Mosque, Abuja, was conducted by the Chief Imam Ustaz Mohammed.

The event attracted the cream of Nigeria’s politicians and personalities from society circle. Notably present were Vice President, Namadi Sambo; Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke; multi-billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote; former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar and Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bala Mohammed among others.

The Friday event was followed by another ceremony on Saturday, September 14.

Abukabar lost his first wife, Mariam, in January 2012.

The new Mrs. Abubakar attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, after which she went to Cobham Hall School, Kent, United Kingdom (UK), and Loughborough University, also in United Kingdom (UK) for further studies.
