Grammys Inducts Afro-Soul Singer, Aramide

Afro-Soul singer, Aramide’s career went a notch higher, as she got inducted into the Recording Academy governing board of the Grammys.

Real names Aramide Sarumoh, the artiste known for songs such as ‘Iwo Nikan’ was inducted along with 18 others.

She revealed the good news in a series of tweet posted on her twitter handle, @AramideMusic.

Already an active voter of the Grammys recording academy for years, her good works inducted into board.

“And today I’m happy to announce to you that after being an active voting member of the recording academy for years, this Monday, I will be inducted into the Recording Academy (the GRAMMYs®) Governance Board. I will now be a part of the Governors for the Washington DC Chapter board’’.

An award-winning artiste, she picked the award for Best Vocal Performance at the Headies 2015 with the song “Iwo Nikan”.

She has since gone on to drop singles such as: “Killing Me’’, “It’s Over’’, “Feeling This Feeling’’, “I Don’t Care’’, “Love Me’’ and others.

Also invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science is Nigerian filmmaker Femi Odugbemi [Battleground, Gidi Blues] and 928 other people.
