GOtv Launches in Akure

GOtv, the new digital terrestrial television (DTT) service has been introduced to the residents of Akure in Ondo state.

The event, which took place at Democracy Park was awash with GOtv colours and branding, music, dance and comedy.

Kayode Olusesan and his Glad Tidings Band thrilled the guests in traditional Yoruba melodies and some lucky guests walked away with complete GOtv sets including a decoder, GOtenna (outside antenna) and 1 month subscription, while others received various GOtv branded gift items.

Among the lucky winners of GOtv decoders were Friday Ajulo, a student cum professional dancer, Mary Ibrahim and Titus Zealous.

Marketing Manager, GOtv, Mr Dare Kafar gave a brand talk to enlighten prospects of the quality entertainment which GOtv offers. He explained that the outdoor event was staged because GOtv represents fun, excitement and great family entertainment.

GOtv offers an exciting selection of channels containing news, children’s programming, documentaries, series and movies, music, and religious programming which are carefully selected to cater for a variety of different tastes and family viewing needs at a very affordable price.

GOtv is delivered to homes in Nigeria via the use of the latest DVB-T2 technology, which guarantees a once-off migration to the digital age. With the use of DVB-T2 technology, GOtv gives subscribers a dramatic improvement on the dividend of terrestrial frequencies. DVB-T2 technology standard allows for no less than 21 channels per frequency.

GOtv is now accessible in 18 cities across Nigeria – Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Enugu, Benin, Aba, Owerri, Kano, Kaduna, Onitsha, Asaba, Uyo, Abuja, Calabar, Oshogbo, Ife, Ogbomosho and Akure.
