Singer, Danny Young has revealed that he still has respect for Tiwa Savage despite the copyright issues between them.
Speaking on the faceoff between him and the Mavin Records First Lady, Tiwa Savage, he said that it was not about a social media war, but all about doing the right thing.
“Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Tiwa Savage and I respect her craft as well, but you see, two brothers can have a case in court and still have a good relationship with each other.”
According to him, his lawyers reached out to Tiwa Savage’s lawyers before the complaint was made to YouTube, but they ignored him.
To ensure that no one benefitted from what was originally his, he had to make the complaint to YouTube, Danny Young revealed.
Recall that Danny Young had called out Tiwa Savage for using lines in his song after which he logged copyright complain that eventually saw ‘One’, a song by Tiwa Savage being pulled down from YouTube.
Mavin Record has however revealed that it is working to ensure that the song returns to YouTube soonest.
