The duo of Davido and Wizkid are yet to react to a claim by yemi Alade that she can pull the same crowd they attract in concerts.
Yemi Alade, one of Nigeria’s biggest female music exports considers herself in the same league as the duo.
Speaking during an interview, the singer said that there is no such thing as the number one artistes, insisting that they are all striving to become the biggest in Nigeria.
In her words, “The top five artistes in Africa can shut down the same shows with the same capacity. The same capacity Wizkid holds down in Africa I can hold down in Africa. The same capacity Davido holds down in Africa, I hold it down, same venues and we all shut it down! So there is no number one. That’s the truth but not everyone will agree to that but that’s not my business.”
Interestingly, neither Davido nor Wizkid have reacted to the singer’s statement. While Wizkid is known to have performed at top venues including the O2 Arena, Davido is slated to perform at the same venue in January 2019.
Same can however not be said of Yemi Alade, who though an enterprising artiste many believe is yet to get to that level of her career.
