Like a once popular star, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, the erstwhile Speaker of Lagos State has bowed to obscurity.
In his days as Speaker, Ikuforiji was up and about, as he played big both at public events and social parties that he attended.
But alas! those loud days are over. In fact, they seem to have been over for almost a year now, as Ikuforiji simply went into oblivion, soon after he left government. He has even turned a scarce commodity even at the places which used to be his oyster.
Some say that he has gone underground to strategise for an ambition which he is to unveil later, while others say he has joined the league of “I used to be”, a nomenclature reserved for politicians who used to be hot, but have left the scene for a deserved rest.
